超级计算机

在德国举行的International Supercomputing Conference (ISC2006)上，6月28日发表了今年上半年的世界最快的超级计算机的Top500，排行榜请看这里。

IBM仍然在这个方面保持着绝对的优势，占了其中的48.6%，其次是惠普，占30.8%。按照地域来看，500台中有298台在美国，83台在欧洲，亚洲有93台。亚洲的以日本最多。日本最快的是NEC制作的Tsubame grid cluster，属于东京工业大学的学术国际情报中心，世界排名第七位。

中国最快的一台是在气象局，排在35位，是由IBM制作的。其次是在第53位，在上海超级计算中心。第三个终于是国产的，由联想为中国科学院制作。不同于日本和美国，那里的超级计算机大多在高校里，而我们的多在公司和一些政府部门，我找到的最靠前的一台在大学里的应该是第233位，南开大学的 Institute of Scientific Computing里，很遗憾，是IBM制。
